James Tebandeke Etuusa is a competent Advocate in the Corporate and Commercial Department at LJA Associates LLP and he occasionally delves into Litigation. Hailing from Uganda, James brings diversity to the firm.

In 2011, James graduated from the University of Pune, India with a Bachelor of Social Legal Sciences. He further pursued his Bachelor of Laws Degree from the same University up to 2013 after which he proceeded to the Kenya School of Law in 2014 where he received a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice. He was admitted to the bar in March of 2017.

His legal career took off with him joining the firm as a Pupil in 2015 and in his 8-year tenure at LJA Associates LLP, James has escalated the corporate ladder to become a Partner at the Firm.

James is an expert in Transaction Advisory and takes advantage of his natural talents of being an eloquent communicator, team player and all-round prowess in legal matters. These characteristics propel him to great heights within the profession and make him great fit for the firm.

  2. Successfully advising and acting for Sky Fuel Limited in a joint venture commercial transaction pertaining to supply of fuel in 2017, Incorporation of the stated Company in 2016, Debt recovery of KES 24 Million owed to the company in 2020.
  3. Successfully advising and representing Tusker Mattress Limited in various Public Health Matters at City Court.
  4. Advising and representing various firm clients in Commercial Litigation suits.
